All just topics of recent history? Not at all! People have been dealing with sustainability issues for almost 2000 years, as we learn on this exciting city tour.   <\/p>\n<p>We start in today&#8217;s idyllic Stadtpark garden. With floods and pollution, the history of the Vienna River confronts us directly with the environmental problems of earlier times. <\/p>\n<p>We continue on to Baker&#8217;s Street. Ever heard of the Schmauswaberl? Anyone who thinks the concept of food banks for rescuing food is a recent invention will be proven wrong here!  <\/p>\n<p>The fact that sustainability also has a financial aspect is demonstrated by the creation of the National Bank in Singerstrasse as a reaction to a serious national bankruptcy.<\/p>\n<p>We look at the problems caused by inadequate cleanliness in today&#8217;s very chic Graben avenue. We are in the present day at New Market square and explore how Vienna wants to become a climate-friendly city. Just a few steps further on, we follow in the footsteps of the first hospitals in Vienna. What does this have to do with brewing beer? Wait and see!   <\/p>\n<p>At the State Opera House, we take a look behind the fa\u00e7ade of the glittering Ringstrasse. Precarious working conditions and pollution were the side effects of industrialization.
